100% Solution-Dyed Polyester
Sur Last™ All Weather Fabric, a 100% solution-dyed polyester that is used for anything that needs outdoor protection. It was originally developed for the marine industry because Sur Last is tough, non-abrasive, weather resistant and fade resistant but it is becoming a standard for automotive and motorcycle covers, and accessories.

Sur Last™ All Weather Marine Fabric, a fabric designed specifically for the special stress boat covers endure. Sun, wind, rain pollutants and chemicals rob boat covers of their rich colors and cause the material to stretch and determinate.

Sur Last™ is solution dyed which means the colors, UV inhibitors, and stabilizers are added while the fabric is in a liquid state. The color is part of the fibers so they will not fade or wash out. Some fabrics transfer color or abrade the gel coat of your boat when tailoring - not this one!

Sur Last™ is a trailerable product - it is non-abrasive to gel coat surfaces. The UV inhibitors, and stabilizers keep the fibers stronger longer than other polyesters. Some fabrics are so heavily coated they are waterproof, this keeps water vapors inside the boat causing mildew and color transfer.

Sur Last™ is breathable, the Oxford weave allows water vapor to escape - while still keeping weather out!

Sur Last™ doesn't fray - if you poke a hole in it all you have is a hole - no unraveling.

Sur Last™ is stable and will not stretch or shrink like some acrylic marine fabrics. Sur Last also has supreme tear and abrasion resistance.

What is Solution-Dying?
Solution Dyed: Sur Last™ is a very colorfast protective material. Since it is solution dyed, the colors will not fade or wash out. During the material's manufacturing process, colors and UV inhibitors are added to the polyester when it is in the liquid state. The color is part of the fibers therefore the inside and outside of each fiber is the same color. The fabric stands up to wind, rain, pollutants, and even chemicals that will make other fabrics fade. The UV inhibitors and stabilizers keep the fibers stronger longer than other polyesters.
